Antonio Conte is reportedly unhappy with the Chelsea board due to the lack of transfer activity, say La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian outlet claim that Conte had expected the board to act swiftly in the transfer market, to secure his priority targets. The Chelsea head coach is keen to reinforce his squad ahead of the upcoming season, fully aware of the added challenge that Champions league football will bring. However, he is unhappy with the lack of urgency shown, as they claim.
La Gazzetta also report that the club are also displeased with Conte, due to his handling of Diego Costa, following the revelation that he had informed the Spain international that he was not in his plans for next season, as the BBC reported.
As a result of Conte’s decision to inform Costa, the striker revealed all, which in turn puts Chelsea in a weak position when in negotiations, as clubs know that the striker is unwanted.
