Outgoing Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is interested in managing Everton, according to the Daily Mail.
The Chilean is keen to remain in the Premier League after his spell at the Etihad Stadium comes to an end and sees Everton as a club with vast potential.
With Roberto Martinez's position at Goodison Park looking tenuous at best, the Blues could well be looking for a new manager very soon.
And Pellegrini has reportedly told people close to him that he would be interested in making the switch from Manchester to Liverpool.
The 62-year-old was appointed Manchester City boss in the summer of 2013 and has won one Premier League and two League Cups during his three seasons with the Citizens.

Jamie Carragher believes Everton should sack Roberto Martinez immediately, if they are going to change their manager.
The Toffees turned in another abject display as they were thumped 3-0 at Sunderland.
The victory ensured survival for the hosts but only compounded the misery for under-fire Martinez.
Everton have now lost six of their last 10 games, winning just once, with fans calling on the board to end Martinez's three-year tenure.
And Carragher claims it is a case of now or never for the Everton hierarchy - who are risking a toxic reaction for Sunday's clash with Norwich.
"If Bill Kenwright and the new owner want a new manager they should get rid of Martinez tomorrow," he told Sky Sports.
"Everton have a fanatical support home and away but I couldn't believe how many empty seats there were in the away end.
"There are very few, if any, supporters wanting him to stay in the job and there could be a poisonous reaction to Martinez at the weekend."
Martinez meanwhile refused to answer questions about his future following his side's sorry collapse.
