Ajax have demanded a fee of €30m to sell midfielder Davy Klaassen to Everton, De Telegraaf have reported.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman reportedly made a number of trips to Amsterdam to watch the Dutch international last season and he has now identified Klaassen as one of his top targets as he looks to strengthen Everton's midfield this summer.
The 24-year-old reportedly earns a modest €20,000 a week at Ajax, but could earn up to five times more should he move to the Premier League.
Koeman is believed to be willing to meet the club's demands for the playmaker as he looks to add more creativity to his midfield.
he signing of Klaassen could bring with it more uncertainty over the future of Everton's Ross Barkley, who has turned down a new £100,000 a week contract at Goodison Park.
