Everton poach leicester city spotter Steve Walsh by offering him director of football job

Reports tonight say that an official first approach for Walsh was turned away by City but it is believed that the Blues are determined to land the former Chelsea scout

Everton remain set on appointing Steve Walsh as the club's director of football - despite reports of an initial approach being rejected by Leicester City.

Earlier this summer Farhad Moshiri, Everton’s major investor, and chairman Bill Kenwright held talks with Monchi, Sevilla’s renowned technical director, over the newly-created role.

After it proved impossible to tie down a deal with Monchi, who has a huge release clause in his contract, Walsh was earmarked as the right man for the job.

Everton Academy graduate Grant agrees new two-year contract at Goodison

The 21-year-old is understood to have been given a two-year deal taking him to the end of the 2017-18 season.

Grant’s current deal ran out last month but the club offered him fresh terms.

Callum Connolly has put pen to paper on a new three year deal at Everton.

The 18-year-old defender has been rewarded with fresh terms after a season where he made his first-team breakthrough.

Connolly replaced Seamus Coleman early in the second-half of April's match with Southampton at Goodison and the teenager produced a composed performance in the 1-1 draw.

Everton could be about to launch a bid for THREE Juventus players... if those wonderful Italian reports are to be believed.

Calciomercato say the Serie A champions are preparing a mega bid for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain, and will sell Daniele Rugani, Simone Zaza and Roberto Pereyra to fund it - with Everton one of the clubs who will take all three off their hands.

買晒3個？唔係好信喎

Daniele Rugani：21歲中堅 (意大利)
Simone Zaza：25歲前鋒 (意大利)
Roberto Pereyra：25歲攻中 (阿根廷)

而且呢3個球員都唔算平~

吹咁多睇到頭都暈, 龍一於PATRICIO啦, 我自己都講左幾次...中場WITSEL同MATA搞咁耐, 中堅都係得個吹字, KLAVAN有人唔做走去做X.....左翼連影都冇
