Roberto Martinez will give Seamus Coleman and Muhamed Besic every chance to prove their fitness in time for Saturday's trip to Swansea City.
The pair both picked up hamstring problems in last weekend's 3-1 win over Chelsea but the Toffees chief is confident he won't be without the pair for too long.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Thursday morning, Martinez said: "We've had positive news on both because [the problem] is the least we expected in terms of soft tissue injuries and they're both reacting well to treatment.
"It's difficult to tell when we will be able to get them back but I would give both a chance to be involved at the weekend or Tuesday in the League Cup [at Reading].
"Apart from those two, everyone is fit and available from the squad that faced Chelsea and all the other players are doing well."
Martinez also confirmed that left-back Bryan Oviedo is closing on a return from the knee problem he sustained prior to the recent international break, while midfielder Darron Gibson is himself nearing a first-team comeback after playing 75 minutes in the Under-21s' 1-1 draw with Sunderland on Monday.
"Bryan will probably be ready for the League Cup game," said Martinez. "Darron is a just a matter of fitness now. He played over 70 minutes at Goodison on Monday, so clearly he is on the road to regaining that match fitness.
"Medically, he's fully fit and ready to rejoin the group, it's just a case of getting him that match fitness."
