boss Ronald Koeman doesn’t have overall control over the club’s transfer dealings.
It’s a problem that has blighted managers all over the world for years but as reported in the Mirror, former Saints man Koeman isn’t the man pulling all of the reigns when it comes to potential incomings.
He said: “Full control, no! I cannot control of all the players I want.
“And that’s what I like in the function of Steve Walsh in the club, because yes, he is for the long term and sometimes he is looking for young players who are not first team players,” he added.
